A child develops according to some reasonably
well known patterns, both physically and emotionally.
Physically, these patterns of growth have
functional and dysfunctional patterns.
Psychologically, these patterns of growth also have
functional and dysfunctional patterns.
One of the problems encountered in psychotherapy, education,
organizational development, as well as business consultation is
the consultants encounter with the childhood decisions that
people have made years ago that now “run” their life today.
Much of the time those decisions have been
forgotten about, minimized, or justified.
Children make decisions to survive in the circumstances of
their family of origin, with what limited data that they have.
Helping people look at the nature of those
decisions and then choose what works and
what does not is the work of the consultant. |
